Payment & Billing Policy

Last Updated: December 10, 2025

This Payment & Billing Policy explains how payments are processed, how billing works, and what happens in the event of missed or late payments. This policy applies to all patients using Phundid to manage repayment of their in-house financing plan with their dental provider.

Phundid (“we,” “our,” or “us”) facilitates payment processing on behalf of your dental provider.

Phundid is not the lender, and does not provide credit. Your financial agreement is between you and your dental provider.

1. How Payments Work

Your dental provider offers an in-house financing plan for your treatment.

Phundid helps manage that plan by:

  • Setting up scheduled payments

  • Processing recurring or manual payments

  • Sending payment reminders

  • Tracking balances and due dates

  • Reporting payment activity to your dental provider

Payment Methods Accepted

Phundid accepts:

  • Debit cards

  • Credit cards

  • ACH/e-check (if enabled by your dental provider)

You authorize Phundid to charge your selected payment method according to your payment schedule.

2. Payment Schedule

Your payment plan, including the:

  • Total amount due

  • Number of payments

  • Payment frequency

  • Payment amount

…is determined directly by your dental provider, not Phundid.

Your schedule is visible in your Phundid account or in your agreement with your provider.

Automatic Payments

If automatic payments are set up, Phundid will charge your stored payment method on each scheduled date until the balance is paid.

3. Failed Payments

If a payment fails, Phundid may:

  • Notify you via email or SMS

  • Attempt to re-process the payment using the same method

  • Allow you to update or replace your payment method

Failed payments may result in:

  • Late fees (determined by your dental provider, not Phundid)

  • A change in payment terms

  • Additional reminders or communications

4. Late or Missed Payments

If you miss a payment or do not respond to reminders:

  • Your dental provider may assess a late fee

  • Your account may be considered past due

  • Additional communications may be sent via SMS, email, or phone

  • You may lose eligibility for certain future payment arrangements

Phundid’s role is to assist in these communications and updates on behalf of your dental provider.

5. Delinquency & Collections

If your balance becomes significantly overdue, your account may be referred to collections.

Before this happens:

  • You will receive notices

  • You will have the opportunity to resolve the outstanding balance

  • Both Phundid and your dental provider may attempt contact

If the account is sent to a third-party collections agency:

  • The agency will contact you directly

  • Additional fees or interest may apply (as permitted by law)

  • Phundid may no longer handle payments for that account

6. Refunds & Disputes

Refunds, adjustments, or disputes regarding treatment, billing amounts, or plan terms are handled directly by your dental provider, because the financial agreement is between you and the provider.

Phundid cannot authorize:

  • Refunds

  • Adjustments

  • Cancellation of plans

  • Changes to treatment value or balances

If you believe you were charged incorrectly or have concerns about your treatment plan, please contact your dental provider.

Phundid can assist with technical payment disputes such as:

  • Duplicate charges

  • Processing errors

  • Mistaken payment method usage

7. Updating Your Payment Method

You are responsible for maintaining an active and valid payment method.

You can update your method by:

  • Contacting Phundid support

  • Responding to payment reminder messages

  • Updating your information through any provided payment portal

If your payment method becomes invalid, payments may fail and your account may become past due.

8. Communication About Payments

By using Phundid, you agree that we may send communications related to payments, including:

  • Payment reminders

  • Failed payment notifications

  • Payment schedule updates

  • Account status notices

  • Instructions for resolving overdue balances

Communications may be sent via email, SMS, or phone in accordance with our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.

9. Fees

Phundid itself does not charge customers any separate platform fees.

However, your dental provider may include:

  • Late fees

  • NSF/returned payment fees

  • Administrative fees

These will be outlined in your financing agreement with the provider.

10. Our Role

Phundid is a payment facilitator and account manager, not a lender.

We:

  • Do not set pricing, repayment terms, or late fees

  • Do not make credit decisions

  • Do not own or service loans

  • Do not provide legal or financial advice

All financial obligations are between you and your dental provider.
